Welcome back to the 4th episode of the With New Media podcast. In this episode I talk about when you might be being a Twitter Spammer and when you are actually using it right.

First I start explain about what it is that Twitter Spammers do and why what they are doing is not proper. The big issue I have with Twitter Spammer is how they will just follow as many people as they possible can in their niche, but never talk to them. The only thing they are interested in is pushing their message. This is so horribly wrong in my books.

Then I got to thinking though. What about when it comes to small town Twitter users. Are the fundimentals the same?

Here my thoughts and more. Please leave you thoughts below, I would like to hear them.

This show may be a little hard to follow but I think I touch on an important issue when it comes to Social Networks and how we behave on them.

First: I misunderstood a tweet sent out by one of the people and I follow and accidentally offended them. It was a complete misunderstanding, but that got me thinking about how we can’t always tell what manner someone is saying something. Or what they are actually referring to. Has this ever happened to you?

Second: This is a little more tech related. I know there are a lot of Blackberry users here in the North and I’m excited to say soon, all of my podcasts will be available through the newly launch Blackberry Podcast Directory. I have been wanting to start another podcast here on With Media dedicated to what it is I spend my time doing everyday, learning about New Media and the Web. There is no direction to this show, nor do I think there ever will be. I what the format to be open, so if one week I get tons of question I can answer them, or if we have a guest on I can. As of right now I think most episodes will be around 10-15 minutes long.

What do I want it to be?

I what this show to be the type that is informative to the audience. I want to be able to share what I find while exploring each week and also help other get started in the online world. I want to guide you through setting up a WordPress Site or getting your podcast on iTunes. I want to share my idea of how to properly use Twitter, Facebook and the like to connect and communicate with you audience.

What is in episode 1!

It is an introduction to who I am and what I like to do. I also *try* and share what New Media is and a little about what I hope to accomplish by creating this weekly show.

Back for #3. Today Apple announced a lot and we get it all.

This morning Steve jobs, CEO of Apple, got on stage at WWDC for his Keynote speech.To give you a brief overview of this episode, we talk about the new iPhone4. The news design and layout, with a glass front and back. New features, including the front facing camera, 5 megapixel camera, and the A4 processor.

iOS4 was also announced, which includes Multitasking, folders, games, bluetooth keyboards and more.

We also once again compare and discuss Apple and AT&T to Blackberries, Android and Canadian Carriers.

In our second episode we go on a mobile kick. Seems like the only think we talked about.

We, again, start of by talking about Apple and all the iPhone 4 news as well as the iPhone OS4. Don’t worry we didn’t forget about the iPad. Not to mention that the Canadian release date was announced, find out in the show.

If you’re not an Apple fan, like we seem to be, we do get into a good discussion about Android phones. Including the new Incredible. As well as some news about RIM Blackberry.
