Helping one but Not the Other

This is just a short question for you. Something that I was thinking about while I was writing up the show notes for this weeks With New Media podcast, should I be helping those new on Twitter to use the service.

I spend a lot of time looking at how businesses can properly approach and use Social Networking tools. I got thinking though, what if the people who these businesses want to communicate with, don’t know how to properly use the service.

I’m I naive to think that everyone will use Twitter to have a 2-way conversation and not just to find out where their favourite celebrity is?

Should I be looking at how to help those people who are just starting out on these platforms, as well as businesses. Or does that just make me sound like a jerk?
